How can I access broadband internet without a home phone line?
I live in Strathalbyn South Australia and I want to get rid of my home phone line as I rarely use it – but still want to be able to access broadband internet …what are my options and which would be the cheapest for me to do?
Well, a regular phone line would only give you a slow dial up connection anyhow. If you had a modern laptop, that would let you get free broadband, if an unencrypted signal is in range.
Of course, you can also just take a laptop to a wi-fi spot nearby.
But, here’s a gizmo to help you to ELIMINATE your phone bills…

This is a new service that lets you make unlimited long distance calls for FREE! But, this does require a broadband connection.
It’s using USA phone numbers, but if both parties have one, you can make unlimited free phone calls on any phone back & forth.
You might be able to order a DSL "dry line" (or "naked loop") so you get broadband, but without any phone service included. At that point, you can use a Magic Jack (or Skype for free too!) as your phone. I love mine at only $19.95 a YEAR for a phone line.
Good Luck!

Wireless Broadband Internet. I use Vodafone $39 5gb / month. But check if it has 3g coverage in your area, as without 3g coverage, it’s dial up speeds.

that’s a spam link. The cheapest way to get internet is via phone line. The other way to do it is to get a roaming internet card for a cellular provider, and those are expensive.
