How do I convert a 4-lined address from Excel into Access & have it place each line in its own field?

Posted on October 12th, 2009 by admin in access on line | 1 Comment »

I copy and paste addresses into Excel. When i try to import the spreadsheet into Access, it places the entire address in one field instead of separating it out by company name, street, city, state, zip. I want to know how to manipulate it so that it will separate the information out. Or how can i copy and paste directly into Access? Someone please help!

You will always have the macro option to play with it, but that will requires you to give more info
If you like mail me some details and I will be happy to do it for free
but
You can do this in Excel before copy and paste
use this lesson to transpose the 4 rows into 4 columns
http://file1.net/lesson.asp?id=14

and then do the copy and paste

yeah, VBAXLMan is back
