Free down loadable software for blocking access to specific sites on line?

Posted on October 26th, 2009 by admin in on-line access | 3 Comments »

Can anyone recommend some downloadable (and free!) software to allow me to block access to a particular website? I’m using Windows XP and Internet Explorer 7.
I have attempted to use the feature in the security settings with Internet Explorer, but this hasn’t worked. Any other solutions most welcome!

Zonealarm is pretty cool. Allways done the trick for me

In IE7, go to Tools and then down to Internet Options. Click on the Security Tab.

Click on the ‘Restricted Sites’ icon on the right. Then click on the Sites button directly below and add the URL’s you wish you block. Simple as that. :-)

    strongly recommend NetDog : http://www.netdogsoft.com
it’s easy, just add the sites to "always blocked website list", netdog can work with all kinds of web browsers.
