You’d have to give more info on WHO is doing the accessing to get a reasonable answer – and WHY.

Unless you are a co-signer or have the direct permission of the account holder then yes, that is a very bad thing. I use the internet feature of internet banking for my clients, but I have a signed release on file stating that I have their permission to access the accounts. It would be hard with out it as I assist them with paying bills and maintaining accounts and the what not. In a word, yes, it is a bad thing. Greg Z — http://www.gzbookkeeper.com

If you dont have permission from the account holder. What could you possibly gain from looking at their accounts.
