One of the major complaints about Windows Vista was it’s slow performance.

The other elements of Windows 7 like Windows Explorer resemble Vista and that may be a bad thing since Vista had a bad start, but the good news is that Windows 7 is a lot faster than Vista and the speed can be noticed right when the system boots up. The system requirements aren’t changed and the stability is far better. It even improves the ReadyBoost feature allowing multiple USB or flash-based devices to be used to speed up slower systems.
